CVoter Snap Poll | 93% Indians In Favour Of Boycotting Trade Relations With China Post Ladakh Face-Off

NDA members portrayed anti-China mood. Nearly 98 per cent of BJP members voted in favour of cancelling Chinese firm projects from the country.

New Delhi: The ongoing dispute between India and China has triggered an anti-China sentiment among Indian. The violent face-off which broke out between the two countries in Galwan valley area on Monday night left 20 Indian soldiers killed. The scuffle led to pan-India protests against China calling for a boycott of Chinese products in the country. ALSO READ | Can India Afford To Reject Chinese Products? Find Out Why It’s Not An Easy Call According to a nap poll conducted by CVoter, as many as 93 per cent of Indians are in favour of freezing all trade ties with China. Going by the detailed categorization of demographics, the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led Central government has also voted in snapping away contracts with China. The survey report shows that while opposition was clearly in strident mood. Over 88 percent of opposition members expressed their anxiousness with China. And to a surprise, even the NDA members portrayed anti-China mood. Nearly 98 per cent of BJP members voted in favour of cancelling Chinese firm projects from the country. Similarly, 97 per cent of middle income group people and 66.9 per cent of people high income groups voted in anti-china notion. Interestingly, more women than men are in an anti-China mood as 97.5 per cent women favour this against 89.7 per cent men. From the Northen belt, unsurprisingly over 95 per cent of people from states of Bihar, Punjab, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh expressed anger against India counterpart China and voted to boycott the trade relations from the country.
 Yesterday, Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) general secretary Praveen Khandelwal had reportedly called for the boycott of 3000 Chinese products. Find Out Why It’s Not An Easy Call Earlier while speaking to ABP News, Khandelwal said that Indian brave hearts fought with courage for the sake of Indians. "If our brave soldiers can fight on the border, even 7 crore Indian traders can also break China’s strength." We have alternatives for these 3000 products right here in India. If we can boycott these products then by December 2021, we can create a loss of Rs 1 lakh crore to China, he said.
