New Delhi: As the world celebrates Eid-Al-Adha on Monday, neighboring Pakistan refused to accept sweets offered by India. The incident took place at Wagah border in Amritsar, where Border Security Force offered sweets to Pakistan rangers as a customary practice, as both nations exchange sweets every year on Eid; but the same were declined.
This comes amid escalated tensions between the two nations post government’s decision on scrapping article 370, which gave special rights and privileges to the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Pakistan has consistently expressed its unhappiness over government’s decision, with Pakistan PM Imran Khan dialing several international leaders expressing his ‘resentment’ over the same. He had also said that “It was a violation of the UN Security Council (UNSC) Resolution”, a claim which has been strongly rejected by India.bangladesh
