Deogarh-Bound IndiGo Flight Gets Bomb Threat, Diverted To Lucknow
IndiGo, in a statement, said: "All necessary security protocols were followed & the aircraft was cleared for takeoff. IndiGo is following the rules of the security agencies in the probe."
Following a specific bomb threat on Monday, IndiGo diverted flight no 6E 6191, operating from Delhi to Deogarh, to Lucknow, news agency ANI reported.
The relevant security processes were followed, according to the national carrier, and the aircraft was cleared for flight.

"The flight landed safely at 12:20pm & was taken to the isolation bay. Airport security followed necessary checks to verify the threat & after proper probe, the threat turned out to be hoax &the aircraft was released for onward journey," Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport stated in an issued statement, ANI reported.

Earlier in January, a SpiceJet flight flying from Delhi to Pune was searched after a phone call claimed that there was a bomb on the plane. When airline authorities received the bomb threat call, they paused boarding and contacted the bomb squad.
Similarly, after recieveing a bomb threa via email, a Goa-bound chartered flight from Moscow with 240 passengers on board was diverted to Uzbekistan in the early hours of January 22, 2023.

Speaking with PTI, a senior police official stated: "The flight (AZV2463) was diverted to Uzbekistan after an email was received at 12:30 am by the office of the Dabolim airport director, which said that a bomb was planted on the plane. The flight was diverted before it entered the Indian airspace. It landed at an airport in Uzbekistan around 4:30 am."
According to reports, the threat mail was received by the office of the Dabolim airport director, as opposed to the Azur Air headquarters in Russia on January 9.
