Demonetisation will turn out to be a big scam, says Rahul Gandhi

New Delhi: The Congress Party vice-president (VP) Rahul Gandhi tonight addressed media in Mumbai during which he not only once again attacked demonetisation by the Central government but also alleged that "the big black money players have been allowed to go scot-free by the PM". "The big, black money players have been allowed to go scot-free by the PM (Narendra Modi). Mallaya and Lalit Modi are sitting abroad", Rahul Gandhi said. "The decision that was taken was not thought through, it was based on one person's thinking", Congress VP further said. "Couple of days back, Prime Minister was laughing in his speech, then next day he was crying. He should decide what he wants to do", Rahul Gandhi said. Taking sides of common man he asked-"Do you see any black money players in bank queues?" "Its only farmers, government servants and common man", he said and added-"This decision has resulted in massive inconvenience for the common people". This needs to be sorted out as soon as possible, he said. "On social media, I am seeing that BJP leaders are holding cash stacks in their hand, where did they get this money from?", Rahul Gandhi questioned. Talking about PM's mother, Rahul Gandhi said-"My and his way is different. I will not say anything about his mother." "18 to 20 people died in queues outside banks/ATMs and PM was laughing", Congress VP said. He also clarified that "Entire opposition united against Modi government's demonetisation move which has resulted in massive inconvenience for people". He also alleged that "Modi government alerted BJP people of demonetisation beforehand" and cautioned that demonetisation will turn out to be a big scam.
