Delhi Boy Stabbed For Confronting Sister's Stalkers; Five Including 2 Juveniles Held

An FIR has been lodged in Kalkaji police station under the sections of attempt to murder, stalking, act intended to insult a woman's modesty etc. Three accused have been arrested by Police and two juveniles have been apprehended in connection with the incident.

A 17-year-old teenager was severely injured after getting stabbed for allegedly confronting his sister's stalkers in southeast Delhi's Kalkaji area. The incident took place on Friday afternoon when the girl was returning home after attending her school.

Reportedly, three to four boys were stalking the girl and passed "obscene remarks" on her. The girl's brother is currently battling for life, and is hospitalized in AIIMS Trauma Centre.

"My house is near..walking distance of 10-15 min from the school. The boys were following me. They have been stalking me for the past two- three days. Police took me to the station and I filed the complaint," the victim's sister told PTI.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Southeast) R P Meena said, "We have registered a case under Indian Penal Code sections 307 (attempt to murder), 354 D (stalking), 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) and 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention).

"Three accused have been arrested and two juveniles have been apprehended in connection with the case."

AAP MLA from Kalkaji Atishi took to Twitter to inform that the boy's condition was stable and that she has assured full support to his family members.

In connection with the incident, Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) issued a notice to Delhi Police after the victim's sister alleged that police officials refused to take any action when she approached them for lodging a complaint.
