Day After Operation Sindoor, BSF Shoots Down Pakistani Infiltrator In Punjab

The BSF has eliminated a Pakistani intruder in Punjab amid ongoing Operation Sindoor. The body has been handed over to the police.

The Border Security Force shot down a Pakistani intruder in Punjab's Ferozpur sector on the intervening night of May 7-8. Citing an official source, news agency ANI reported that the Pakistani intruder was observed crossing the International Border purposefully and moving towards the border security fence, taking advantage of the darkness.

He was fired upon by vigilant BSF troops after challenging in the Firozpur sector. After daybreak, the body was handed over to the police.

The infiltration bid came a day after India executed Operation Sindoor, destroying 9 terror hideouts out of 21 identified ones in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir. The attacks were carried out using aerial strikes and artillery fire. Pakistan said that so far, 31 casualties have been reported.
