New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday inaugurated the diamond jubilee celebrations of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) at Vigyan Bhawan in Delhi.
Speaking on the occasion, PM Modi called CBI a brand for justice and said, "CBI has given hope and strength to the common citizen. People hold protests to demand CBI inquiry as CBI has emerged as a brand for justice".
He further stated that corruption is the biggest roadblock to democracy and justice and that it is CBI's key responsibility to free India from the clutches of corruption.
He inaugurated the newly constructed office complexes of the CBI in Shillong, Pune, and Nagpur and also established the agency's Twitter account.

We must find innovative ways to deal with cybercrimes. Tech-enabled entrepreneurs and youngsters have a great role to play in this.”

But since 2014, our primary goal has been to reinstate, nurture and strengthen people’s belief in the system.”
