Mahabharat War Lasted 18 Days, Covid-19 Battle Will Take 21 Days: PM Modi
While speaking to citizens, PM Modi also asserted that the deadly virus does not differentiate between the rich and the poor asked people to be at home and practice social distancing.
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday interacted with people of Varanasi amid the countrywide outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic and said that he was very pained by the misbehaviour of some people against doctors, airlines crew and staff of essential services who are at the forefront of combating deadly virus.
While speaking to citizens, PM Modi also asserted that the deadly virus does not differentiate between the rich and the poor asked people to be at home and practice social distancing.
"Healthcare professionals working in white uniforms in hospitals are like God for us today, they are saving us from the disease. They are saving us by risking their own lives," he said.
"These days, people in hospitals are working for around 18 hours per day. People in healthcare sector are not getting more than 2-3 hours of sleep. Civil society people are working day in, day out to help poor. We should salute such people who are serving society in this critical hour," the Prime Minister said. Addressing people of his parliamentary constituency of Varanasi via video, he said the Mahabharata war was won in 18 days but this war against Coronavirus will take 21 days.
