Constable Eats 60 Puris, Breaks Own Record In UP's ‘Bada Khana’ Food Competition | WATCH

Breaking his earlier record, the constable ate 60 puris during the ‘Bada Khana’ competition organised at the Reserve Police Line in Uttar Pradesh’s Gonda city.

Gonda: It’s aptly said “if you continuously compete with others, you become bitter, but if you compete with yourself, you become better.” A police constable in Uttar Pradesh’s Gonda city justified the same.

Breaking his earlier record, the constable ate 60 puris during the ‘Bada Khana’ competition organised at the Reserve Police Line in Uttar Pradesh’s Gonda city.

Hrishikesh Rai, the chief constable of Uttar Pradesh Provincial Armed Constabulary, ate 60 puris during the competition organised earlier on Tuesday night before the passing out parade of the new recruits.

Those who eat the maximum number of puris in this competition are honoured post this event.

Rai, who ate 51 puris during the earlier competition, was given a cash prize of Rs 1,000.

Gonda Police took to Twitter to share the photos and videos from the event, which is an old tradition in which the recruits and employees share a meal together.

“In the “Bada Khana” organized at Reserve Police Line Gonda, Mr Rishikesh Rai broke his own earlier record by eating 60 puris (51 puris). #SPGonda @IPS_SantoshM honoured him with ₹ 1000 cash prizes,” Gonda Police wrote on the micro-blogging platform.

Recruit constable Amit Kumar Singh, who ate 48 puris in the competition, bagged the second prize.

Gonda Superintendent of Police Santosh Kumar Mishra, who rewarded the winners of the ‘Bada Khana’ competition with cash prizes, also served food to the recruits under training along with the other officials.

The Superintendent of Police also ate with the recruits while sitting on the ground.
