Congress & AAP Playing 'Noora Kushti' In Punjab, Pretending To Be Against Each Other: PM Modi In Pathankot

The Prime Minister also said that wherever BJP established itself, the remote control family (Congress) from Delhi was wiped out

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Pathankot ahead of the Punjab Election and addressed a public rally. PM Modi began his address by greeting people on Ravidas Jayanti and said that he has come to Punjab only after taking blessings from the Saint-Poet Ravidas.

PM Modi mentioned his visit to the 'Shri Guru Ravidas Vishram Dham Mandir' in Delhi's Karol Bagh today. In a bid to influence the voters, the Prime Minister listed out the work done by the central government for the people of Punjab and reiterated the poll promises of BJP. He asked people to give on opportunity to the saffron party to serve the people of Punjab.

Here are some highlights of PM Modi's speech:

  • PM Modi said that despite the pandemic, India is giving free ration to crores of citizens including the poor of Punjab. We made all the efforts and ensured that no one  is left hungry.
  • The Prime Minister further stated that wherever  BJP established itself, the remote control family (Congress) from Delhi was wiped out. Wherever there is peace, appeasement has been given a farewell, the same farewell has to be given in Punjab also.
  • Emphasizing on the point that former Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh is now with BJP after leaving Congress, PM Modi said, "Punjabiyat is of umpteen importance to us, while the Opposition views Punjab from the lens of 'Siyasat' (politics)...When Captain Sahab was in Congress, he would stop them from moving in the wrong direction. Now, he is also not there..."
  • Targetting the two opposition parties, PM Modin said, "If Congress is original, AAP is its xerox...One looted Punjab while the other one is involved in scam after scam in Delhi. Despite being 'Ek hi thali ke chatte batte' they (AAP and Cong) are playing 'noora kushti' (fixed fight) in Punjab, pretending to be against each other."
  • PM Modi said that Congress also insulted the martyrs of Pathankot. He remembered the time when he visited the city in his young days and said, "As a normal citizen, I came to Pathankot on scooter and train. People from Pathankot were so kind that they brought food for me in lunchboxes. Majha's soil has given me love like that of Ma (mother)."
