Offline Registration For Char Dham Yatra Begins In Haridwar
Ahead of the Char Dham Yatra starting on April 30, offline registration began in Haridwar on Monday. 20 counters, including special ones for seniors, the disabled, and foreigners, were set up.

Ahead of the Char Dham Yatra, which will begin on two days, offline registration started on Monday, in Haridwar, Uttarakhand. The yatra is set to begin on April 30.
District Tourism Officer Shushil Nautiyal said 20 free registration counters have been set up as well as special registration counters have been set up for individuals with disabilities, senior citizens, and foreign nationals.
Nautiyal said that “20 counters for tourists, including separate counters for people with disabilities, senior citizens, and foreign nationals”, have been provided.

"Today marks the first day of registration, with a registration limit of 1,000. It will change based on further instructions from higher authorities. Additionally, Yamunotri and Gangotri are set to open on April 30 as well," Nautiyal added.

Meanwhile, workers were busy decorating Kedarnath Temple with long strings of marigold flowers on Monday, before its opening on May 2. Uttarakhand Chief Minister “Shri Kedarnath Dham is being decorated with flowers before the doors open. Devotees will be able to have darshan of Baba from May 2.”

Speaking on security, Haridwar Special Superintendent of Police Pramod Doval on Sunday said that the police are reviewing police arrangements for the Yatra.
“Three halting areas have been identified, and CCTV cameras have been installed at various locations. Drones will be used for traffic management to ensure smooth movement.”
SSP Doval said that no devotee should face any inconvenience and that the area has been divided into “zones and sectors with extensive police deployment”. Additionally, five tourist police centres are being established to assist pilgrims.
"The administration is gearing up to manage the influx of devotees for the annual pilgrimage, which draws thousands to the sacred sites of Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath".
