BSF Jawan Roasts 'Papad' In Sand As Mercury Touches 46 Degrees In Rajasthan's Bikaner: WATCH

In the viral video, a BSF jawan can be seen roasting a 'papad' in the hot sand of Rajasthan's Bikaner.

As North India is currently witnessing searing heatwave with maximum temperatures crossing 47 degrees Celsius in several regions, the India Meterological Department issued a 'red alert' for the northwestern plains in Delhi, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, and parts of Rajasthan.

The weather department has also forecast heatwave to severe heatwave conditions in these states till May 25.

Amid this, a video shared by the Border Security Forces has gone viral. In the video a BSF jawan can be seen roasting a 'papad' in the hot sand in Rajasthan's Bikaner, showing the scorching heat as the region sizzled under intense heatwave with temperatures soaring at 45 degrees Celisus.

The video went viral on social media platfroms and drew reactions from the netizens.

In the 48-second-long video, the BSF jawan, who is covered in a cap, sunglasses, and a cloth around his face, to protect himself from the blaring sun, can be seen roasting the 'papad'. He takes the 'papad' puts it in the hot sand and waits for it to roast. 

After some seconds, he takes it out and shows how it is roasted by breaking it into pieces.

Various X accounts have posted the viral video. One of shared the video and captioned the post: "Temperature soars to 47°C in Bikaner, Rajasthan. The sand along the International Border feels like a furnace, but our troopers serving the motherland stand strong."

Another X handle, shared the video and wrote: "Salute to Our Jawans. BSF Jawan roasting a papad in sand in Bikaner, Rajasthan along IB serving motherland in such heat."

Reacting to the video, a user wrote: "The western sector of Rajasthan from Ganganagar, Bikaner, Jaisalmer, Barmer is one of hottest and toughest sector guarded by BSF. The weather and isolated terrain is too rough. The BSF is the sentinel guardian of dsesert."

Another user commented on the video: "Jawan’s life is too hard, salute to these people who stood in such harsh conditions."
