Bone-Chilling Incident Jolts Pune: 20 ft Wall Collapses On Shanties, 17 People Dead
Due to rains areas like Wadala, Worli, Bandra, Chembur, Andheri, Kandivali, Vikroli, Kanjurmarg, Bhandup faced water-logging.
New Delhi: In a bone chilling incident, A 20 feet tall society wall in fall on some shanties belonging to laborers in Pune, Maharashtra, leaving 17 people dead. As per reports, the wall fell because of heavy rainfall in the area. The incident also left 2 people brutally injured. The rescue teams have so far saved 3 people. The same also left several cars damaged. As per sources, the incident happened late last night when people were fast asleep.
A similar incident also took place in Chembur area of Mumbai, where another wall collapsed late Friday night. Several rickshaws and cars were damaged after the incident. Soon after the incident, fire tenders were rushed to the spot to remove the debris.
The incidents which took place because of heavy rains in Mumbai on Friday claimed three lives. As per a BMC official, 3 people died in West sub district, whereas 2 got severely injured. As per the Municipal official, the dead have been identified as Kashima Yudiyar (60), Rajendra Yadav (60) and Sanjay Yadav (24).

Mumbaikars woke up to heavy rains, ending a long dry spell, but a few hours of incessant showers left the financial capital struggling with familiar monsoon woes of waterlogging, delayed trains, traffic jams and choked drains. Three persons died of electric shocks, while two others were injured in two separate incidents in the western suburbs, a spokesperson of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) said. The deceased were identified as Kashima Yudiyar (60), a resident of Andheri (East), Rajendra Yadav (60) and Sanjay Yadav (24) - both from Goregaon (East), the civic official said.
