'BJP Will Win 48 Seats In Delhi, Mark My Words': Manoj Tiwari Dismisses Exit Poll Results

Earlier during the day, Arvind Kejriwal said that BJP has been making fun of his visit to Hanuman Temple even as Manoj Tiwari said the deity got impure by Delhi Chief Minister removing his shoes and carrying a garland with the same hand.

New Delhi: With most exit polls predicting Aam Aadmi Party to storm back to power with a comfortable majority in the national capital,  Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari has dismissed all surveys saying they would fail on official counting day - February 11. An exit poll conducted by ABP-CVoter today projected a clean sweep for Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party in the bitterly-fought Delhi Assembly Elections 2020. The exit poll has predicted AAP to get between 49 to 63 seats in the 70-member House, where the majority mark is 36, though it may lose a few seats here and there. BJP which aimed to return to power in the national capital is expected to win between a low of 5 seats to a high of 19 seats. This means the saffron party’s 22-year-old wait may extend for another five years for a shot in the capital's government. The survey also tipped Congress to be at a distant third with a maximum of four (0-4) seats in the polls. In the 2015 polls, AAP won 67 seats while the BJP collected the remaining three seats. The Congress had failed to bag even a single seat. As exit poll results have pointed to BJP's loss in the polls, MP Manoj Tiwari on Twitter said the exit polls will prove to be inaccurate. "All these exit polls will fail. Keep this tweet of mine as proof. BJP will form government by winning 48 seats in Delhi. Please do not find an excuse to blame EVMs now," the BJP parliamentarian tweeted in Hindi. Earlier during the day, Arvind Kejriwal said that BJP has been making fun of his visit to Hanuman Temple even as Manoj Tiwari said the deity got impure by Delhi Chief Minister removing his shoes and carrying a garland with the same hand. The results for the elections will be announced on February 11.
