BJP Never Betrayed Anyone, Mahagathbandhan Govt Will Fall Before Next Polls: Sushil Modi On JDU-BJP Split

BJP's Sushil Modi mentioned that the newly formed Mahagathbandhan (Grand Alliance) government will not be able to complete the term in Bihar.

Bihar Political Stir: Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) has dispelled all the notions of the saffron party creating internal strife among the alliance partners' party. Sushil Kumar Modi, BJP Rajya Sabha MP, lashing out at Nitish Kumar's decision to break the JD(U)-BJP alliance said that he "will ditch RJD" as well.

"Nitish will ditch RJD and try to split it taking advantage of Lalu's illness", former Dy Chief Minister of Bihar said during a press conference in Patna, just hours ahead of the oath-taking ceremony of the new Mahagathbandhan government in Bihar.

"They are saying that attempts were being made to break JDU, the example of Shiv Sena is being given. Shiv Sena was not our ally, it was the ruling party there. You (JDU) were our ally. We have never broken any of our allies," Sushil Modi debunked JD(U)'s allegations of saffron camp 'conspiracy'.

BJP's Sushil Modi also mentioned that the newly formed Mahagathbandhan (Grand alliance) will not be able to complete the term in Bihar.

"We will like to see how the new Bihar govt functions. It will fall before the next (Bihar assembly) polls," he said.

"De-facto CM is Tejashwi Yadav, Nitish Kumar is just the titular Head. They (RJD) have a strength of 80, and you (JDU) have 45-46. Everyone knows how Lalu Yadav works. Nitish Kumar will be CM just for show and real CM will be Tejashwi Yadav," he added.

Got Votes In Name Of Narendra Modi

Highlighting that despite JDU being the smaller alliance partner in 2020 Bihar Vidhan Sabha, Sushil Modi said BJP trusted Nitish Kumar to remain as Chief Minister.

"BJP has never betrayed anyone. We made Nitish Kumar Bihar CM five times. RJD made him the CM twice, we did that five times. We had a relationship for 17 years. But you severed ties (with us) twice," BJP RS MP said.

"In 2020, we got votes in name of Narendra Modi. Had we received votes in your (Nitish Kumar) name we would've crossed 150-175 and you wouldn't have won just 43. When it seemed the situation isn't good, Narendra Modi did 3-4 rallies in one day. 2020 mandate was for Narendra Modi," he added.
