BJP Chief Amit Shah diagnosed with Swine Flu, admitted to AIIMS

NEW DELHI: BJP national president Amit Shah has been diagnosed with swine flu and is undergoing treatment at AIIMS, Delhi. The information was given by Amit Shah through Twitter on Wednesday. Shah tweeted-  "I have been diagnosed with swine flu for which the treatment is underway. With God's grace and good wishes from all of you, I will recover soon." BJP President was admitted in AIIMS after breathing problem where doctor Randeep Guleria was attending him. The team found chest infection. He reached the hospital at around 9 pm and is admitted in the old private ward of the hospital. Shah was suffering from fever for two days. A team of doctors are monitoring his condition under the supervision of AIIMS director. Many on social media sites wished him of speedy recovery. H1N1 influenza or swine flu is a respiratory illness that is caused by a virus. It is contagious and spreads quickly from person to person.  It was declared pandemic by the World Health Organisation in 2009. People affected by swine flu viruses have the common symptoms like fever, tiredness, lack of appetite, coughing and a sore throat. People can also have vomiting and diarrhea. The symptoms of influenza have been mild and have made a full recovery. However, severe illness can also lead to death. (more details awaited)
