Bihar Elections 2020: PM Narendra Modi Showers Big-Ticket Projects In Poll-Bound State | Check Full List Here
As the stakes are high, the BJP has formulated an aggressive campaign strategy in the run-up to the Bihar assembly election.
Patna: As Bihar Assembly Elections is around the corner, the political circles of the state is all pumped up and doing its best to lure voters' attention. Bihar is most likely to witness a two-way political battle as ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA), under the leadership of Janata Dal United (JDU) chief Nitish Kumar is pitched against the Mahagathbandhan of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and the Congress. With social distancing norms to stay put for quite some time now and the fight with COVID-19 being as real as it gets, the political parties have taken a conscious decision to minimise huge public gatherings by replacing the high-voltage mega rallies in the state with Facebook and YouTube live.
Just like any other election, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has deployed all its political machinery in the state as it will be the first state elections amid the Coronavirus pandemic, the economic downturn, and Chinese aggression at the border.
As the stakes are high, the BJP has formulated an aggressive campaign strategy in the run-up to the Bihar assembly election.
Even as lockdown restrictions are strict in the state due to the rising cases of Covid-19, volunteers are going from house-to-house to take suggestions about making Bihar self-reliant. Based on the suggestions received after interaction with close to two crore households, the party will prepare an ‘Aatmanirbhar Bihar poll manifesto'. This poll manifesto will present the party's vision for the next five years.
With concerns over the exit of traditional allies and an attempt to avoid any future setbacks, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has himself lifted the baton to reach out to common people.

Here is a list of projects to be launched by PM Modi in Bihar ahead of Assembly Elections 2020:
i.) Earlier this week, PM Modi launched the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY) and e-Gopala App, a comprehensive breed improvement marketplace and information portal for direct use of farmers, which will do away with the role of middlemen in procurement and purchase.
ii.) PM Modi also inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for seven projects related to urban infrastructure worth Rs 541 crore via video conferencing in Bihar. Of these, four projects are related to water supply, two to water supply, two to sewerage treatment and one to riverfront development.
iii.) The projects that were inaugurated by PM Modi include sewerage treatment plants built under Namami Gange at Beur and Karmalichak in Patna Municipal Corporation. Apart from these, projects just as a round-the-clock supply of drinking water in Siwan Municipal Council and Chapra Municipal Corporation under AMRUT Mission were also launched.
iv.) The Prime Minister also laid foundation stone of water supply scheme in Munger and Jamalpur municipal corporations.
v.) PM Modi also laid the foundation stone of Muzaffarpur Riverfront Development Scheme which is being built under Namami Gange. The project aims at building basic facilities like toilets, information kiosk, changing room and pathway.
vi.) For people of Bihar, the Prime Minister dedicated three key projects in petroleum sector - Durgapur-Banka section of the Paradip-Haldia-Durgapur Pipeline Augmentation Project and two LPG bottling plants.
vii.) PM Modi also announced an investment of Rs 1,390 crore with a Central share of Rs 535 crore and the additional fish production target pegged at 3 lakh tonnes under the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY) for Bihar.
viii.) Even in Aviation sector, the Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri had announced that daily flights would become operational from Darbhanga to Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru before Chhath Puja. He informed that bookings will start by end September for daily flights from Darbhanga to Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru. Flight operations will begin in the first week of November, before the auspicious festival of Chhath Puja.
