Patna District Magistrate Chandrashekhar Singh, who held a meeting with the Superintendent of Police and all concerned officials regarding Bakrid, has urged the people to follow Covid guidelines and offer prayers at home.

He also suggested that guidelines can be communicated to the people by holding a peace committee meeting.

The District Magistrate also said that prayers will not be allowed in any Eidgah or mosque.

Issuing instructions to all the Sub Divisional Officers (SDOs), Block Development Officers (BDOs) and Circle Officers (Cos) in this regard, he said that a meeting of the peace committee should be held at the police stations and sub-division level to convey the guidelines.

In view of the Shravani Mela, tight security arrangements will be in place in the temples from the first Monday. A ban has also been imposed on the fair held in Sawan.
