Bihar Governor Rajendra Arlekar, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, two Deputy CMs Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha, and other leaders were present at the swearing-in programme. The inductions rose the strength to 30, just six short of the constitutional limit for the state, reported PTI.
At a ceremony held within the premises of the Raj Bhavan, Governor Rajendra Arlekar administered the oath of office to twelve members of the ally Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and nine members of the chief minister's Janata Dal (United)
The most surprising thing in this list is that many new faces have been inducted into the cabinet.
The list of ministers sworn in from the BJP quota includes a total of 12 names. These individuals are:
1) Mangal Pandey
2) Aruna Devi
3) Neeraj Bablu
4) Nitish Mishra
5) Nitin Naveen
6) Janak Ram
7) Kedar Gupta
8) Dilip Jaiswal
9) Hari Sahni
10) Krishna Nandan Paswan
11) Surendra Mehta
12) Santosh Singh
Nitish Kumar, with the support of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Bihar on January 28. This event followed his earlier resignation from the post after he ended ties with the RJD and the Congress in the state.
Nitish Kumar cited the inability to fulfill promises made to the people and internal differences within the coalition as primary reasons for his resignation. However, hours later formed a new government in Bihar with the backing of the BJP.
