New Delhi [India], Aug 24 (ANI): The Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) in its 275th Executive Council Meeting on Thursday decided to introduce compulsory attendance for all regular faculty members of the University.

"The EC approved the revised guidelines for the conferment of Professor Emeritus in JNU. After detailed discussions, the EC has decided to introduce attendance for all regular faculty members of the University which is in conformity with the recent resolution of the JNU's Academic Council and the 'UGC regulations on minimum qualifications for appointment of teachers and other academic staff in universities and colleges and measures for the maintenance of standards in higher education, 2018," a press statement issued by the JNU Registrar said.
