Assam CM Himanta Sarma Changes India To BHARAT In Twitter Bio, Congress Says 'Both Beyond Your Understanding'

Congress spokesperson Supriya Shrinate took a jibe at Assam CM Himanta Sarma after he changed his Twitter bio from India to 'Bharat'.

The ruling dispensation of the BJP-led NDA government and the united opposition have again come face to face after the leaders of various parties decided to call the opposition alliance INDIA. Now, Congress spokesperson Supriya Shrinate late Tuesday night joked over the Twitter bio of BJP leader and Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma. After the NDA parties' meet in Delhi, CM Sarma changed his Twitter bio from 'Chief Minister of Assam, India' to 'Chief Minister of Assam, BHARAT'. He also tweeted that our civilisational conflict is pivoted around India and Bharat, adding that the British named our country India.

"We must strive to free ourselves from colonial legacies. Our forefathers fought for Bharat, and we will continue to work for Bharat. BJP for BHARAT," Sarma said in the tweet.

Well, Supriya Shrinate noticed that the geo-location of CM Sarma on Twitter says 'Guwahati, India'. She said, "Himanta, find a better tweet writer. This one makes you appear foolish. Your fight seems to begin with your geo location on your Twitter bio 😂"

"Be rest assured we will ensure, India Will Come Together, India Will Win," Shrinate said putting focus on the newly decided name for the united opposition alliance.

Shrinate didn't stop here, nearly three hours after the last tweet, she posted a screengrab of Sarma's Twitter bio highlighting 'Bharat', and India both. She captioned it with a laughing emoji and said, "One done, one left 😀🤣, Where are you getting entangled in India / INDIA - both are beyond your understanding."

The NDA vs INDIA fight has taken center stage as of now for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. The second opposition meeting took place in Bengaluru and the third one will happen in Mumbai, the epicentre of the Shiv Sena and NCP split.
