Security Tightened In J&K Ahead Of Amarnath Yatra, Forces Use Drone For Surveillance: Watch
On Saturday, Central Reserve Police Force Director General Sujoy Lal Thaosen reviewed the security preparedness of the force for the upcoming Hindu pilgrimage.
Security forces use drone cameras for surveillance as security has been heightened in Jammu and Kashmir ahead of Amarnath Yatra which will commence from July 1 onwards for two months. On Saturday, Central Reserve Police Force Director General Sujoy Lal Thaosen reviewed the security preparedness of the force for the upcoming Hindu pilgrimage. Thaosen reviewed the preparedness of the paramilitary force during his visit to Jammu and Kashmir.
"During his J&K visit, @sthaosen, DG @crpfindia, held a meeting with officials, scrutinising the security preparedness of the force vis-à-vis the forthcoming SANJY 2023. He instructed the officials to ardently ensure every measure, facilitating a harmonious and seamless yatra," the CRPF said on Twitter.
Jammu zone Additional Director General of Police, Mukesh Singh also visited several towns along the Jammu-Srinagar national highway and took stock of the security arrangements.

Accompanied by senior police officers, Singh visited Lambar-Banihal, Ramsoo, Ramban and Chanderkot to take stock of the security measures, as per a PTI report.
The top cop also interacted with CRPF and Army officers and enquired about the logistics provided to the personnel deployed en route and also asked about officers that would be deployed on vantage points to discharge their assigned duties.
Deputy Inspector General of Police (Doda-Kishtwar-Ramban) Sunil Gupta and Senior Superintendent of Police of Ramban district Mohita Sharma accompanied the ADGP during his visit.

Meanwhile, Senior Superintendent of Police of Samba district Benam Tosh chaired a meeting of all security agencies to review arrangements for the yatra.
The 62-day yatra is set to begin on July 1.
The first batch of pilgrims will leave for Kashmir from the base camp in Bhagwati Nagar in Jammu on June 30, one day before the scheduled commencement of the yatra to the 3,880-metre-high cave shrine in the Himalayas.
