Alwar Rape Case A ‘Complicated Matter’, Media Trials Not Required, Says Rajasthan Minister Amid Probe

Alwar rape case: Rajasthan cabinet Minister Mahesh Joshi said, that the case the investigation is underway in the rape case of a specially-abled minor girl.

New Delhi: In the latest development of the rape case of a specially-abled minor girl, Rajasthan cabinet Minister Mahesh Joshi on Saturday said that it is a complicated matter and does not require media trials.

"It's a complicated matter. I don't think it requires media trials. Investigation is underway & everything will be made clear...Today people can register FIR without any fear as criminals are afraid because police is doing good work," said Mahesh Joshi as quoted by news agency ANI.

Meanwhile, the Home Minister of Rajasthan, Gulab Chand Kataria came forward and said, "We have demanded a CBI inquiry in a time-bound manner. There should be no delay in the probe and a result should be out soon... It's state govt's responsibility to nab the accused...," according to the statement given to ANI.

On 21 January, while sharing the video on social media, Rajasthan BJP ex-state spokesperson Laxmikant Bhardwaj claimed that the Congress government in Rajasthan has erased evidence from the spot where the specially-abled minor girl was found abandoned.

NCW Chairperson Rekha Sharma also took cognisance of the matter and suggested that an FIR should be filed against the Rajasthan government for tampering with evidence in a heinous crime against the Alwar minor girl.

The incident, which caused widespread outrage in the state, occurred on the night of January 11 when the 14-year-old girl was discovered in a troubled circumstance with injuries to her private parts on a bridge close to Tijara Fatak in Alwar.

She was discovered bleeding and was rushed to a hospital for a two-and-a-half-hour operation. The girl was admitted to a local hospital due to excessive bleeding and serious injuries.

According to authorities, the investigation indicated that she had travelled alone from her hamlet to the metropolis.

Late Friday, authorities announced that they had obtained the girl's medical report, which ruled out rape suspicions.

They expressed that they still couldn't seem to decide how the young lady got such serious harm to her private districts.

The shocking case has sparked a political debate about the law and order situation in the state.
