What to do if the names differ?
In such a situation, to link these two, you have to make sure that the name, gender, and date of birth are the same in PAN and Aadhaar. In case the names in Aadhaar and PAN are completely different, the name has to be changed in Aadhaar or PAN database. Rectifications in the Aadhar card can be done by visiting the permanent enrolment center. You can change your name, age, address, mobile number, etc. These require documents such as ID or address proof as proof for updating them.
