35 Days: Jitendra Dixit's Book Reveals Reasons Behind BJP-Shiv Sena Breakdown In Maharashtra

Many new facts have been revealed inside Dixit's book '35 Days'. Several lesser-known stories from the life of Sharad Pawar, Uddhav Thackeray, Raj Thackeray have been presented in it.

New Delhi: The entire nation was startled by the twists and turns that took place in Maharashtra's political corridors last year. Every single one in the state was surprised by the very next political drama that continued for about 35 days right after the assembly results were announced on October 24. The entire nation saw what happened on the lens but the story behind the camera remained a mystery for many. However, bringing respite to many of our curiosities, Jitendra Dixit, West India Editor of ABP News has revealed several aspects of the state's political stage in his book '35 Days: How Politics in Maharashtra Changed Forever In 2019'. The Assembly elections had completely turned around the political tables in Maharashtra as the state witnessed breakdown of a decades-old alliance between the BJP and Shiv Sena. Moreover, radical enemy parties Shiv Sena and Congress joined hands to come to power. The Shiv Sena relented on the issue of Hindutva and adopted the word secular. Raj Thackeray became soft on Marathiism and adopted Hinduism. What further surprised the nation was Devendra Fadnavis' decision to form government with NCP leader Ajit Pawar, who until that morning was planning to get Pawar behind bars. Devendra Fadnavis had taken oath as the Chief Minister for the second time in the state while Ajit Pawar became his deputy. The dramatic episode removed the mask from the faces of all the Raj leaders. Based on the incidents from that thrilling show, Jeetendra Dixit’s book exposes those developments which have not been revealed till now. The book is an answer to many of our questions which got dusted under the carpet with time. Was the reason for the separation between Shiv Sena and BJP the two and a half years 'chief minister’s post'? Did Ajit Pawar lie to Devendra Fadnavis that he has got approval from Sharad Pawar to form a government with BJP? Was Rahul Gandhi against forming a government with the Shiv Sena? Why did Modi-Shah not mediate to save BJP-Shiv Sena alliance? Answers to all such questions can be found in this book. Many new facts have been revealed inside Dixit's piece, but along with this, many hidden aspects of the personality of the political biggies of Maharashtra have also been given. Many interesting and lesser-known stories from the life of Sharad Pawar, Uddhav Thackeray, Raj Thackeray have been presented in this book. Owing to the long-continued coronavirus pandemic in the country, the printing presses are shut at present due to which only the E-book version has been published and can be read on the Kindle app. However, Hindi and Marathi editions of the book will be published soon.
