At least 12 people have been detained after clashes broke out between two groups over vandalisation of a statue in Maharashtra’s Jalgaon on Saturday, reported ANI citing police. The clashes occurred in the Atarwal village of Jalgaon district after a statue was vandalised by unidentified people, the agency reported Jalgaon SP M Rajkumar as saying.
"Police reached the spot and brought the situation under control. 12 people were detained. Further action is being taken," Jalgaon SP said, as quoted ANI.

Earlier on March 30, as per the agency, police said that 56 people were arrested in connection with a clash that broke out between two groups in Maharashtra's Jalgaon district over music being played outside a Mosque while Namaz.
Jalgaon SP said that two FIRs have been registered and currently, the situation is peaceful and is under control in the area.
According to Police, there was contention between two groups over music being played outside a mosque that escalated into stone pelting which led to the clash.
The development comes amidst several cases of violence from Maharashtra, West Bengal, Bihar and Jharkhand on Ram Navami.

On Saturday evening, a bomb blast was reported from Sasaram in Bihar’s Rohtas district. Five people were injured in the blast and have been referred to the Banaras Hindu University Hospital. The cause of the blast is still not known and the cops are probing all possible angles.
"There was a bomb blast in Sasaram. Injured people were referred to BHU hospital. We’re investigating all the angles right now. The cause of the blast is unknown," said Sasaram DM Dharmendra Kumar, as reported by news agency ANI.
Five people were injured in the bomb blast, the police said, as per ANI.
The Bihar Police revealed that information about the explosion was received after which the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team reached the spot to investigate the matter.
"The blast was reported at a shanty and a scooty has been recovered from the area. Prima facie it does not appear to be a communal incident," the police said, as quoted by ANI.
The police team, Special Task Force (STF), and Para Military forces conducted a flag march in Sasaram on Saturday. The blast took place a day after communal clashes broke out in the city on the occasion of Ram Navami.
