Hyundai Venue Launched In India At Rs 6.5 Lakh!

The Venue is Hyundai’s attempt to cement its place in the sub-4 metre SUV segment, a space which has for long been dominated by the Vitara Brezza.

The Venue has been in the news for some time now. Hyundai revealed the SUV last month and all its specifications and features have been known for quite some time now. What was not known till now was the price. But finally, we have those too. The Venue is priced between Rs 6.50 lakh and Rs 11.10 lakh (ex-showroom India) and is available in five variants. Hyundai Venue Launched In India At Rs 6.5 Lakh! On the outside, the Venue is 3995mm long, 1770mm wide and 1605mm tall. On the design front, the Venue gets Hyundai’s signature cascading grille with lots of chrome while the headlamps, like most modern SUVs, are placed lower down on the front bumper. It looks a little European from the rear. The overall design is sophisticated, to say the least. The engine options on offer include two petrol and one diesel unit. The standout engine here is the 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol that Hyundai is offering for the first time in India. It makes 120PS of max power and 220Nm of torque, and can be had with a 6-speed MT or a 7-speed DCT. The other two engine options are the same as the Elite i20, a 1.2-litre petrol engine that makes 83PS/115Nm and a, 1.4-litre diesel engine that makes 90PS/174Nm. They can be had with a 5-speed MT and a 6-speed MT, respectively. Hyundai Venue Launched In India At Rs 6.5 Lakh! The Venue is available in five variants. Here’s a list of the variant-wise powertrain options on offer: Hyundai Venue Launched In India At Rs 6.5 Lakh! The Venue gets an eSIM and that means it has internet. It can communicate with compatible devices and has features like remote engine start, remote AC operation, remote sunroof operation, and more. In the event of a crash, emergency services will be automatically informed. Other features that the Venue has thanks to the eSIM are location tracking and geo-fencing. There’s also an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. Automatic climate control, electric sunroof and wireless charging are some of the other creature comforts. Hyundai has equipped the Venue with six airbags. Active safety features include ABS with EBD, ESC and VSM. Hill assist control is also present.
