The hacked bodies of a woman and her daughter were found in a UP village.
Kannauj: A 50-year-old woman and her daughter were found dead in a bloodied state in their house in Bhojpura village of Talgram area on Wednesday, police here said.
Bloodsoaked bodies of Bhagwan Shri and her daughter Anita, 21, were spotted by neighbours in the morning, they said. Bhagwan Shri was a widow and lived in the house with her three daughters and a son.
Her son, Ramsewak, and two other daughters had gone to Farrukhabad on November 24 to visit their relatives.
Superintendent of Police Kunwar Anupam Singh said that two persons have been detained in connection with the murders.
A probe is on in the matter, he added.

Woman murdered with blunt knife outside home
A 28-year-old woman was killed outside her house after being attacked by a blunt weapon on her head, police here said on Tuesday.
The deceased have been identified as Honey (28), they said, adding the incident occurred in the Punjabi Colony area on Monday night.
The woman’s relatives have accused e-rickshaw driver Rinku Prajapati of the murder, they said.
Honey’s father Ramshankar, who runs an e-rickshaw garage, had a tiff with Prajapati on Monday morning, the relatives told police.
They have alleged that when Prajapati came to park the e-rickshaw in the night, Honey opened the door and he killed her, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ashish Tiwari said According to the police, the woman was attacked on her head by a blunt weapon.
A case is being registered against the accused and an investigation is underway, the SSP added.
