China Files: From 'String Of Pearls' To Coronavirus, Know About The Red Dragon's Nefarious Plots

From snooping through its media networks operating in India to selling cheap goods, Beijing has been bolstering its economy to expand its claws in the Indian subcontinent region.

New Delhi: In our first part of the China Files series, we investigate how the Red Dragon has conspired to cause mayhem in the world now with Coronavirus. To begin by hatching a web around India, China, in its nefarious agenda, has built a multi-billion dollar deep sea port in Kyaukpyu, Myanmar on the coast of Bay of Bengal  after already having helped build port in Gwadar in Pakistan and Hambantota in Sri Lanka. It has also funded the development of the Chittagong port in Bangladesh. China’s People’s Liberation Army (PLA) had set up its first overseas military base in Djibouti in Africa to establish overseas military bases. Also, the Karakoram highway connecting Pakistan to China has become a huge threat to India's security. The world knows it by the name of 'String of Pearls'. String of pearls 15 years ago in a secret report by the US' Department of Defense referred to' String of Pearls'. The report warned that China was forming strategic bases to encircle India and use them against it. In the last fifteen years, China has already become more powerful than ever. China has invested in its military largely and has equipped itself with dangerous weapons. After becoming the second largest economic power, it’s ambitions are soaring far and wide. It’s relentless infiltration plans from Doklam is a clear example. From snooping through its media networks operating in India to selling cheap goods, China has been bolstering its economy to expand its claws in the Indian subcontinent region.  Misleading its own people on Coronavirus China, in fact, has been lying to the world. What is surprising is that China misled its own people on Coronavirus. China didn’t warn the public of a likely pandemic for 6 key days, said an AP report. The Chinese government has constantly denied suppressing information in the early days, saying it immediately reported the outbreak to the World Health Organization which has now put the lives of 2 million people all around the globe in jeopardy. Reports say stacks of thousands of urns outside funeral homes in Hubei province have raised lingering doubts over Beijing's under-reporting of deaths. Changing the narrative through its media networks A female reporter claiming to be associated with a private TV news channel in Hong Kong has been accused of spreading propaganda in the White House. The reporter asked Trump if he was willing to work “directly” with China, prompting the president to ask her if she was working with China. The reporter said she worked for Hong Kong Phoenix TV and explained that it’s a “privately owned company.” However, it was later found that Phoenix TV’s ties are with the Chinese Communist Party.  Another Taiwanese national who works for a Chinese state-run agency is under attack for posing as a reporter from a Taiwanese media outlet. During a presser at White House recently, a reporter asked a question on behalf of foreign media, but Trump cut him off and asked him in return "where are you from?" In response, the reporter, who was later identified as Chang Ching-yi, said, "I am from Taiwan," to which Trump simply said, "Good”. It was later found that he works for Shanghai Media Group, which is a state-owned mouthpiece of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Reports claim Chang Ching-yi also worked for Phoenix TV before joining Shanghai Media Group’s Dragon TV in 2014.
