CM Mamta Banerjee to hold a march against fuel price hike
Meanwhile, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will undertake a 'padayatra' with women today. CM Mamta Banerjee will hold a four-kilometer-long roadshow in Siliguri today over the issue of rising fuel prices. Mamta's roadshow will take place at a time when Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be holding a rally in Kolkata. CM Mamta will begin her march from the Darjeeling turn of Siliguri and end at Safdarashmi Chowk.
Amit Shah will visit Tamil Nadu and Kerala
Union Home Minister Amit Shah will go on a day-long tour of Tamil Nadu and Kerala today to initiate BJP's door-to-door campaign. The party has issued a statement saying that Amit Shah will also address the closing ceremony of the BJP's 'Kerala Vijay Yatra' in Thiruvananthapuram. The Union Home Minister will visit Sri Ramakrishna Math at Trivandrapuram in Kerala at 4:30 pm today. After this, he will join 'Kerala Vijay Yatra' at 6 pm where will also address a huge rally.
1975 Emergency An Outdated Issue, Should Be Permanently Buried, Says Sanjay Raut
In his weekly column 'Rokhthok' published in the party mouthpiece 'Saamana', Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut termed the 1975 Emergency an outdated issue, which needs to be permanently "buried".
"People of India punished Indira Gandhi for her decision to impose Emergency. They taught her a lesson, but later forgave her by bringing her back to power. Emergency is an outdated issue. Why rake it up again and again?...The issued should be permanently buried," he said.
Rakesh Tikait to hold a meeting with farmers in Kolkata
Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) leader Rakesh Tikait on Sunday said he would hold a meeting with farmers on March 13 in Kolkata.
"We are going to Kolkata on March 13. We will speak with farmers there about their concerns and ask if their produce are being bought at MSP or not," Tikait said interacting with reporters while visiting Bala Sahib Dialysis Hospital in Delhi.
