Andhra Pradesh Records 10 New Omicron Cases Taking State's Tally To 16
Andhra Pradesh recorded a maximum of 10 Omicron cases in a single day on Wednesday.
Hyderabad: The number of Omicron cases in Andhra Pradesh has been on a rise by the day as on Wednesday 10 fresh cases were reported taking the state's tally of Omicron variant to 16. Earlier the state's tally was six and along with today's cases it has gone up to 16.
Seven of the ten instances included foreign returnees, with the remaining three patients being their contacts. These patients have visited Kuwait, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, America, and the United Arab Emirates.
Three cases were reported in East Godavari district, two in Anantapur district, two in Kurnool, one each in West Godavari, Guntur and Chittoor districts.

Covid cases across country
According to Rajasthan Health Ministry, with the registration of 23 new Omicron cases in Rajasthan, the total number of cases has risen to 68. There were 10 cases in Ajmer, 9 in Jaipur and two in Bhilwara.
Corona cases are also on the rise in Delhi. In the national capital, 496 new corona cases were registered, while in Mumbai, 1,377 cases came to light.
The country recorded 9,195 new corona cases, taking the total number of active caseload to 77,002. The percentage of active cases out of the total cases was 0.22, which is the lowest since March 2020.
