Untill now, year 2016 has been a great year for our bollywood.This year akshay kumar’s film has done amazingly well as compared to Shah Rukh Khan’s Fan.Although Salman’s entry on the big screen is yet to be witnessed this year. Salman Khan’s Sultan will be relased on Eid in july. But before that lets take look at those films who has bumper opening on the Box Office this year!

Based on the real life story, ‘Neerja’ movie starred Sonam Kapoor in the film as neerja. Sonam Kapoor’s acting and the real story, these were the two main factors which resulted in bumper opening of the film in its first week!

Shraddha kapoor and Tiger Shroff starrer ‘Baaghi’ was relased in 2750 cinema halls in India. Film earned 59.72 crores in its first week!

As said to be this year’s biggest release, Shah Rukh Khan’s Fan could not do that much well on the box office collection. Shahrukh plays a Double role Character in the film. This film earned on 71 crores on the first weekend which is very low as compared to King Khan’s other movies!

Sajid Nadiadwala’s Housefull 3 which has been recently released on 3rd june, has also entered the 100 crore club. With this, it became the second film with bumper opening. Before this Shah Rukh Khan’s Fan was the second biggest opening film with 52.35 crores in the first week!

Akshay Kumar’s ‘Airlift’ is the first movie of year2016 which has earned more than 100 crores on the Box Office collection. This film is based on the operation that was carried out in Kuwait in 1990 to rescue Indians. Film earned 83 crores within the first week!
