Mother stays with son's dead body for 4 days presuming 'he was sleeping'

New Delhi: Sixty-year old Ramdulari had been staying with the body of her son for days till the neighbours finally informed her daughter of the stench coming from the house. According to reports, the mother had been staying with 32-year old dead Kapil for four days at her house in Kali Bari Marg. She told police that she didn't wake her son up because she presumed that he was sleeping. It was only through the neighbours that Kapil's sister found her brother's badly decomposed body lying on the bed. Police were informed and the body was sent for autopsy to Ram Monohar Lohia hospital who ruled out foul play. Kapil suffered from alcoholism and died five days ago, according to the police. It was also found out through family members that Ramdulari was suffering through a mental disorder ever since her husband's death a year ago. Kapil was cremated on Tuesday in Haridwar after his body was handed over to the family on Tuesday.
