Jennifer Aniston Speaks Out: Ageist Compliments That 'Drive Me Bananas,' Reveals Report

Aniston also discussed her fitness evolution over time, emphasising how modern workouts are becoming more elegant. "It was pounding, pounding, pounding.

Jennifer Aniston recently revealed an irritant comment. She complained that the backhanded compliment, "You look great for your age," irritated her. In an interview with Vogue, she stated that the remark "drives her bananas." She added that she has no idea what it means. "I can't stand it; it drives me insane." It's a societal habit to have these markers that say, 'Well, you're at that stage, so for your age.' "I have no idea what it means," she admitted. The F.R.I.E.N.D.S star emphasised that she feels better in mind, body, and spirit than she did in her twenties and that she is in better overall shape.

Jennifer Aniston has previously spoken out about "cliche" backhanded compliments. She told Glamour in 2019 that beauty at any age is something to be celebrated, dismissing the outdated notion of looking good "for your age." Aniston is convinced that this cliche no longer applies in today's society.

The actor recalled how a former agent's remark about her weight had a profound impact on her outlook on health and fitness. This experience led to her developing a physical activity addiction, mindful eating, and a focus on overall well-being. She acknowledged that the understanding of what is considered healthy and beneficial for one's body is constantly evolving, and she strives to stay current in the field.

"I just became completely addicted to physical activity, mindful eating, and healthy eating." It's always changing; what's better, what's good for you, and what's not. And then you're like, Okay, well, that's not good for you anymore? So, what's good for you? "You're just trying to stay current," she added. Aniston believes that through her interviews, she is encouraging self-acceptance, challenging outdated compliments, and advocating for holistic well-being.

Jennifer Aniston Embraces The Evolution Of Fitness, Highlights The Move Towards Elegant Workouts

Jennifer Aniston opened up about her fitness evolution, revealing a shift in her approach to modern workouts. The celebrated actress described how exercise routines have evolved from the old paradigm of constant pounding to a more refined and graceful experience. "It was pounding, pounding, pounding. "You had to get 45 minutes to an hour of cardio; otherwise, you weren't getting a workout," Aniston admitted, admitting her growing dissatisfaction with the monotony of such routines. Aniston has embraced the concept of elegant workouts as the fitness landscape evolves, discovering new ways to achieve physical well-being while having fun in the process.
