However, one such biryani variation has shocked the internet: strawberry biryani. @pushpeksidhu_, a Toronto-based video creator, shared the video on Instagram Reels. It received over 306K likes and 17.3k comments. We could see the British chef preparing a vessel full of chicken biryani in the video. He described it as a 'quick' and 'healthy' biryani that didn't require much effort. The blogger recommended chopping all of the ingredients, including onions, chicken pieces, and strawberry slices, and placing them in a pot of boiling water with turmeric. "None of the recipes specified which berries to use, so I used my favourite," read the post's text.
Pushpek Sidhu, the video's creator, was taken aback when he saw the strawberry biryani. He called it a "hate crime" and described it as "absolutely disgusting." "This is NOT how you make chicken biryani," Sidhu stated emphatically. Several other users agreed that the strawberry biryani was an odd recipe that did not do the dish justice. "Did he just cook this abomination to troll an entire subcontinent?" one person wondered.
