Intermittent Fasting Is Working Well For Rahul Vaidya. Check Out His Recent Post
Rahul Vaidya says he's been doing intermittent fasting to lose weight, look lean, and feel good about himself. Check out his recent post here.
Singer Rahul Vaidya recently posted a mirror selfie on Instagram with the caption, "16 hours fasting every day is working well (flexing muscle and heart eye emojis)." The photo drew praise from his social media followers as well as his wife, Disha Parmar, with whom he is expecting a child. Disha dropped a drooling face in the comments section while the fans posted, "Omg, look at you," "Those abs," and "You are my inspiration".

The singer told HT City in an interview, "Intermittent fasting is the secret behind his swoon-worthy body." Rahul Vaidya began intermittent fasting after suffering a back injury a month and a half ago. Intermittent fasting entails not eating for a set period of time each day or week, alternating between voluntary fasting and non-fasting.
"I've been suffering from a back injury," Rahul explained. "That has made my back very weak, and it prevents me from working out. I was gaining weight and becoming heavier. So I reasoned that if I couldn't burn the calories, I might as well limit my [food] intake," he added. The singer fasts for about 18 hours a day and only has water on Thursdays.
The singer also said, "I think it is great for the regeneration of cells. My body type is such that anything that I do for about 20 days or three weeks, shows an effect suddenly. I've lost weight; I look much leaner and feel better." However, he tries to balance the practice, avoids stressing his body, and tweaks the diet according to his schedule. It's tough to manage work with a fasting schedule. So, I try and keep it a little flexible when I'm doing [live shows]. I can't be singing on an empty stomach," Rahul shared.
Though Rahul got better results by practicing intermittent fasting to lose weight, he also had a word of caution for his followers. "Not all bodies can take fasting. As much as I am advocating this, I also feel that talk to an expert before going for this," Rahul said.
According to the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in the United States, intermittent fasting is an eating pattern that includes hours or days of no or minimal food consumption while not depriving oneself of essential nutrients. Alternate-day fasting, 5:2 intermittent fasting (fasting two days per week), and daily time-restricted feeding (such as eating only during a six-hour window) are all commonly studied regimens.
