Ganesh Utsav 2021: Ganeshotsav, a festival for worshipping Lord Ganesha began on Ganesh Chaturthi. According to the Hindu Calendar, Wednesday, September 15, 2021 is the ninth date of Shukla Paksha in Bhadrapada month. This day is considered highly auspicious for worshipping Lord Ganesha.

Wednesday is considered to be the most auspicious day for worshipping Lord Ganesha. According to the Hindu Calendar, this day is a combination of 'Navami' and 'Dashmi' which is considered to be a special date. On September 15, the date of 'Navami' will last till 11.19 am. This would be followed by beginning of 'Dashmi'. The date of Navami and Dashmi is considered to be extremely auspicious for religious activities. The day of Navami is considered to be the best for worshipping Goddess Durga. On the other hand, the day of 'Dashmi' is considered auspicious for taking new initiatives, as tasks initiated on this day are probable to be highly successful. Vijay Dashami is also celebrated on the day of Dussehra.

September 15, 2021 is the 6th day of Ganeshotsav. According to the Hindu Calendar, this day is considered to be highly auspicious. According to Hindu astrologers, this day and date is considered very auspicious. It is said that worshipping Lord Ganesha on this day and time amplifies your blessings. Offering Durva (Holy Grass) to Lord Ganesha on this day would help you overcome many obstacles and make your life happy and prosperous. Chanting Lord Ganesha's name while worshipping would help make all your efforts fruitful.

Lord Ganesha Immersion 2021 Date and Time:
The auspicious time of Anant Chaturdashi Puja would begin at 6:07 am on September 19, 2021 and will last until 5:30 am the next day i.e. September 20, 2021. This auspicious time will last for a total of 23 hours and 22 minutes. Lord Ganesha's idol would be immersed on this day. The auspicious times for immersion are as follows:

  • Morning: 07:39 AM to 12:14 AM
  • Afternoon: 01:46 PM to 03:18 PM
  • Evening: 06:21 PM to 10:46 PM
  • Night: 01:43 PM to 03:11 PM (September 20)
