20-year-old man sodomised by taxi driver in Pakistan

Peshawar: A 20-year-old man was sodomised by a taxi driver in Pakistan, near the Ring Road that comes within the jurisdiction of Pishtakhara police station. The accused identified as Menhaj (40), a resident of Landi Akhun Ahmad has been arrested by the police and has confessed to the crime, after the victim filed an FIR with the Pishtakhara police. "The accused has been arrested in a raid conducted by the Pishtakhara police soon after registering the FIR. The victim has been sent for medical examination," the Express Tribune quoted an official as saying. As per the report, the victim had hired a taxi from Karkhano Market when the driver stopped the vehicle near a CNG pump on Ring Road and forced him out of the car. The accused then took him to an empty plot where he raped him. "We have registered an FIR in the case under Section 377 of the PPC and the matter is being investigated," the official said and added that the incident took place the night before and the FIR was registered on Tuesday. Hayatabad ASP Hassan Afzal said the man (victim) provided enough clues for the police to nab the suspect within a short period. "Later, the victim identified the offender and the latter also confessed to the crime during initial interrogation" Afzal added.
