On the 74th Independence Day, PM Modi spoke about the distribution of sanitary napkins at Re 1 for the rural women. Social media praised the Prime Minister for speaking about it from a public platform and setting women free in I-Day.

"We have worked for women empowerment. Navy and Air Force are taking women in combat roles. Women are now leaders... we've abolished Triple Talaq," he added.
