PS Plus Free Game For November Leaked? Check Out PlayStation Classic Tipped To Make A Comeback

Kratos' classic adventures - God of War and God of War 2 - might soon arrive on PS Plus for free access.

PS Plus Free Games: PlayStation Plus subscribers are gearing up for the arrival of November’s new batch of free games. This time, it seems Sony has something special in store for its users, with rumours swirling that classic God of War titles from the PlayStation 2 era could be making a comeback.

According to recent leaks, God of War and God of War 2 — the original titles that launched Kratos into gaming stardom—may be included in November’s free games lineup. After October’s somewhat underwhelming selection of titles, PlayStation fans could be in for a real treat with these legendary action-adventure games returning to the platform.

These games, which were originally released in the mid-2000s, take players through ancient Greece as Kratos battles gods, titans, and mythological creatures in a quest for vengeance.

A First For PS Plus

While the God of War series has continued to evolve — most recently with 2018’s God of War and its 2022 sequel, God of War Ragnarök, which shifted the setting to Norse mythology — these early titles have remained locked to older consoles. If the rumours are true, this would mark the first time that God of War and God of War 2 are available to PlayStation 5 users, likely through the PlayStation Plus Premium service, which includes access to classic games.

The speculation began on Reddit’s r/GamingLeaksAndRumours, where a sharp-eyed user noticed an update on the PlayStation Plus tab for PS5. The update introduced new navigation features for classic games, including an icon showing Kratos in his iconic Greek-era armour (pictured at the top) — hinting that the original God of War games could soon be added to the PS Plus catalogue. The leak mirrors a similar situation that occurred with Dino Crisis, where a character icon appeared in the system before the game was officially announced for PlayStation Plus.

If the leak proves to be accurate, PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers might be able to revisit Kratos’ brutal origins as early as next month, bringing the classic titles to a new generation of gamers.
