Ubisoft Confirms Assassin's Creed Mirage's Arrival To Steam In October

Ubisoft in x post on X said that Assassin's Creed Mirage would be released on Steam in October.

Earlier this year, on June 6, Ubisoft expanded Assassin's Creed Mirage to iPhone and iPad devices.

Ubisoft has revealed that Assassin's Creed Mirage will be making its way to Steam, arriving a year after its original launch. Though an exact release date hasn't been specified yet, the game's Steam page is already up. Previously, the action-adventure game was only accessible on PC through the Epic Games Store and Ubisoft's own platform.

Ubisoft in x post on X said that Assassin's Creed Mirage would be released on Steam in October. The post read, “As we celebrate one year since launch, we can't wait to welcome more fans to our back to the roots experience set in 9th century Baghdad.”

Assassin's Creed Mirage scales back the expansive open world and intricate narratives seen in recent titles, offering a more condensed experience reminiscent of the series' early entries. The game centers on Basim, a clever street thief in ninth-century Baghdad, who joins the Hidden Ones and evolves into a skilled assassin. Initially launched on October 25, 2023, the game was available on platforms like PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, and PC (via Ubisoft and Epic Games Store).

Earlier this year, on June 6, Ubisoft expanded Assassin's Creed Mirage to iPhone and iPad devices. It is compatible with the iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and iPad Air and iPad Pro models equipped with the M1 chip or later.

Ubisoft To Change Release Strategy

In recent years, Ubisoft has opted to release its games on PC through its own storefront and the Epic Games Store, delaying their availability on Steam. However, this approach will shift with the upcoming launch of Assassin's Creed Shadows.

Last month, Ubisoft revealed that the release date for the next installment in the Assassin's Creed series, initially slated for November 15, 2024, on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series S/X, has been pushed to February 14, 2025. Notably, Ubisoft also confirmed that Assassin's Creed Shadows will be available on Steam from day one.

Ubisoft said, “The game will mark the return of our new releases on Steam Day 1.”
