Here are excerpts from the interview.
Q- What’s your biggest takeaway from the film?
Ans- My biggest takeaway from the film is no matter who you are, where you are, you must make an effort and a point to stand up for the women in your life. If you see anybody in your life facing any kind of injustice based on caste or sex or any in any way, you must make them understand how important it is to stand up for themselves. As a society, we only keep getting better, one step at a time, one person at a time, one statement at a time and if we keep doing our bit we’ll get there sooner or later.
Q- What’s the USP of your character?
Ans- Purva will not stay calm till she provides the women justice and equality. She will continue to strive hard till she feels content with what has been achieved, and what they deserve. She is not scared of voicing her opinions no matter what it is.
Q- How was your experience working with Barun Sobti?
Ans- Honestly, Barun and I did not have enough scenes to do together. We had a few interactions on set and during the promotion. Barun comes across as a wonderful person. Barun is playing the lawyer and I was a part of the scene where he addresses the judge in court. He was fantastic and managed to pull off the character with ease.
Q- What are your upcoming projects?
Ans- have a film called 'Uljhan - The Knot' which has traveled to numerous festivals including Shanghai and the New York film festival. The trailer is out in India but I am waiting for the film to release which will happen soon this year. I have a couple of projects lined up which I can't talk about. However, I promise to share the details soon.
