TV Actress Arrested In Pornographic Film-Making Case Granted Bail

TV actress and model Gehana Vasisht alias Vandana Tiwari has been granted bail in an alleged pornography racket. Four months after the crime branch arrested her, the Dindoshi session court on Saturday granted her bail.
According to a report in Etimes, the Dindoshi additional session court judge LS Chavan granted Gehana bail on a personal bond of Rs 25,000 with one or two sureties in the Malvani police. While granting bail, the Dindoshi sessions court directed that Gehana cannot leave the country without the permission of the court.
Earlier the actress at the Byculla jail was infected with Covid-19 and was kept in a jail quarantine centre. She reportedly also suffered a stroke and was admitted to JJ hospital by prison authorities, according to her publicist.
The TOI report futher add that, in February this year, the property cell of the crime branch raided a bungalow in Madh Island in Malad and busted a live porn video film making racket and rescued a woman.

During investigation, it came out that Gehena Vashist would upload these videos on various apps including one based in the UK.
Police had also seized a high-definition DVR video camera, six mobile phones, laptop, spotlight, camera stand, memory card containing several video clips and dialogue/script.
On a related note, the gang used to lure aspiring models looking for a break in films, sign agreements and then force them to act in the porn movies.
