Uorfi Javed Calls Out Chahatt Khanna For Supporting Chetan Bhagat's 'Distraction' Comment On Her

New Delhi: Uorfi Javed and television actress Chahatt Khanna have been at loggerheads for quite some time now. They have been involved in a public spat in the past, writing against each other on social media. Chahatt has once again triggered the spat by commenting on the ongoing row between Uorfi and popular writer Chetan Bhagat. 

Chahatt came out in support of Chetan's comments. The author had called Uorfi a ‘distraction’ for boys. 

While speaking to Instant Bollywood Chahatt said, "Chetan Bhagat is very well-known and a well-respected person. I am happy that people have started speaking up. People have started opposing it. I just had read one line that she is a distraction for youth. Woh toh bahot ache shabdon mein kaha hai. Usse bhi kai zyada badi cheezein hai jo she has been doing. But theek hai to each its own. I think uski tareef ho gayi hai ek tareeke se. Girls want to be a distraction. Bahot mild tareeke se taareef ki hai toh mujhe nahi lagta kuch bola hai." 

Uorfi then took to her Instagram stories to slam Chahatt for her comment. She shared the video and wrote, "Tomorrow when your daughters grow up and if ever a man harasses them because of their clothes, remember this statement you gave about me then in the future. Show this to your daughters! Opposing what i put on my body? Hate is consuming you. Stop blaming women for men's actions. Chetan Bhagat is not a respected person, he messaged women half of age asking them for sexual favours (I uploaded the chats too). You're literally degrading your entire gender cause you are so consumed with the hate you have for me. You don't hate me cause I wear short clothes, cayse you do too. You have lingerie pictures on Instagram. You just hate me cause you don't get the same attention. Facts only. Now please stop using my name for publicity! You know it yourself, if you don't use my name - none of these media pages will post about you!" 

She also shared a picture of Chahatt and wrote, "Cleavage plus Gucci bag = Respect. Sheeshe Ke Ghar Babu Bhaiya." 

Uorfi's latest post is also a dig on Chetan Bhagat and Chahatt Khanna. She posted pictures of herself with a caption that read, "Women who visit jails to get free Gucci bags and money , married men who ask women half their age for ‘company’ , who blame a women’s clothing for distracting men are definitely way more respectful than me ! Meanwhile some disrespectful pictures of me ! Enjoy 😉"

For the unversed, Chetan Bhagat commented about Uorfi Javed at a literature festival. "Phone has been a great distraction for the youth, especially the boys, spending hours just watching Instagram Reels. Everyone knows who Uorfi Javed is. What will you do with her photos? Is it coming in your exams or you will go for a job interview and tell the interviewer that you know all her outfits? On one side, there is a youth who is protecting our nation at Kargil and on another side, we have another youth who is seeing Uorfi Javed's photos hiding in their blankets," he had said.   

He later clarified that he was being unnecessarily questioned for what he had not said.  
  
"I told guys to focus on fitness and their career and not waste their time on Instagram," Bhagat said. "Apparently, that's not OK! So they cut my statement, said it out of context, the headline adding things I never said, and did a click-bait piece with ageism thrown in," he added.
