New Delhi: Star Plus’ ‘Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala’ has managed to win the hearts of the viewers with its simple and sweet storyline. The musical drama stars Mohit Malik and Aakriti Sharma in the respective roles of Sikandar Singh Gill and Kullfi Singh Gill. The show, which has been produced by Gul Khan and Nilanjana Purkayasstha, is doing quite well in terms of TRPs. Fans love the bond between Kulfi and Sikandar and this has helped the show in grabbing several eyeballs. Spin-offs seem to be the new trend on Indian television. It seems the makers of ‘Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala’ have also been bitten by the spin-off bug. A report in an entertainment portal has suggested that ‘Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala’ will get its own spin-off. Yes, you read that right. The work for the spin-off has already commenced. The protagonists of the spin-off show will be two grown-up girls. They will be as different as chalk and cheese in their behaviour and attitude, the report in IWMBuzz said.

It remains to be seen of the two girls will be the grown-up versions of Kulfi and Amyra or the show will see a different storyline. The brainstorming sessions are currently happening to develop the story of the spin-off of ‘Kulfi Kumar Bajewala’, the report added.

Interestingly, ‘Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala’ won’t be the first show on Star Plus to get a spin-off. Nakuul Mehta and Surbhi Chandna starrer ‘Ishqbaaaz’ got its spin-off in the form of ‘Dil Bole Oberoi’. The spin-off of Shivangi Joshi and Mohsin Khan’s ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ is doing quite well on the ratings front. The show titled ‘Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke’ is a slot leader at 10pm.
