NAAMKARANN: Not Sonali Vengurlekar but Vrushika Mehta to play grown-up AVNI

New Delhi: As we earlier reported to you that Mahesh Bhatt helmed Star Plus show Naamkarann is about to go through a major change with the leap in the story.  Currently the role of Avni is being played by Arsheen Naamdar but there were reports that after the leap, ‘Yeh Vaada Raha’ actress Sonali Vengurlekar will play the role of grown-up Avni. But now Sonali is out and makers have roped much popular face Vrushika Mehta to play the role grown-up Avni. According to the source of Tellychakkar.com, “Sonal and Nalini, both shook hands with the production house but the channel had a change of mind. Stating that they wanted more popular faces they relieved the actresses, much to their displeasure.” Although makers have not yet finalized anyone for  the role of grown-up Avni and they have roped Vrushika for the role of Riya. But there are reports that makers may end up getting Vrushik to play the role of Avni if they don’t get any other popular face. Vrushika was last seen in Star Plus’ show Ishqbaaz, where she played the character of ‘Ishana’. Actress is known for her stint in Channel V’s show ‘Dil Dosti Dance’.
