Ex-Bigg Boss contestant Veena Malik has parted her ways from her husband Asad Khattak. The couple were hitched for a long time and have two kids. While they were upbeat at first, reports propose that they chose to part after contentions broke out between the two over Veena's longing to keep working in films. According to PTI report the 33-year-old actress had filed a divorce plea in the Lahore family court in January this year after the couple developed differences and could not live together. The court immediately summoned Asad Khattak, but he neither appeared in front of the judge nor filed a reply. Due to this, the court accepted Veena’s plea and issued a ruling that validated their divorce. The couple kept this development under wraps till now for personal reasons. Veena and Asad got hitched in wedding function in Dubai amid December 2013. After marriage, Veena allegedly needed to join showbiz again yet Asad demanded that she should deal with their two youngsters. This did not run down well with Veena and the couple had many contentions. The relationship soured and they began living independently from January.
