Eisha Singh & Adnan Khan’s ‘Ishq Subhan Allah’ Under Scanner, Might Go OFF AIR?

Eisha Singh & Adnan Khan starrer ‘Ishq Subhan Allah’ has witnessed a fall in TRPs in recent months.

New Delhi: Zee TV’s popular show ‘Ishq Subhan Allah’ has managed to win the hearts of the television viewers with its interesting storyline and concept. The social drama starring Eisha Singh and Adnan Khan in the respective roles of Zara and Kabir was launched last year. It immediately captured the attention of the viewers and secured slot leadership at 10pm. Speculations were rife that popular TV actor Kinshuk Mahajan would enter ‘Ishq Subhan Allah’ as the third wheel in Kabir and Zara’s life. As per the latest buzz, that the makers have put the track on hold. A report in an entertainment portal has suggested Kinshuk’s entry has been either scrapped or put on hold. The channel is apparently not happy with the TRPs of ‘Ishq Subhan Allah’ and maybe toying with the idea to axe the show, the report added. Kinshuk Mahajan, while talking to the portal, confirmed that he might not enter the show. When asked of the show is going off air, the ‘Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka’ actor told IWMBuzz, “Ya, I don’t know, it’s unsure.”

“The possible cancellation of a huge twist obviously can’t be good news,” another source told the portal. The report has suggested that ‘Ishq Subhan Allah’ is under scanner and might go off air.

Producer Dheeraj Kumar chose to not comment on the news of the show going off air. ‘’Such rumours have been floating around for a long time and I don’t bother too much about them. Agreed, numbers have come down. But this is across the board due to the influx of web content. We are stable at 1.4. Also, I do agree that first we were crossing over 2 due to the triple talaaq track, but we can’t deal with social issues all the time. Right now we are trying to find a balance between them (Khula) and romance,” Kumar told the portal. When asked about Kinshuk’s entry in the show, he said, “Kinshuk’s track will come but might be delayed, for we have now got a new set of writers who wish to approach the love story between the leads in a fresher way.” ‘Ishq Subhan Allah’ is one of the most loved shows on Zee TV. The drama used to constantly feature in the list of top ten shows earlier. However, it has seen a fall in TRPs post IPL 2019. The show also faces stiff competition from Shaheer Sheikh’s ‘Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke’, which bagged the number five spot in week 28. Stay tuned for more updates!
