One of Indian television’s most beloved shows, ‘CID’, is preparing to take an unexpected turn. In a surprising development, reports suggest that the iconic character of ACP Pradyuman, portrayed by Shivaji Satam, will meet a dramatic end. According to India Today, ACP Pradyuman will be killed off in a bomb blast sequence in one of the upcoming episodes. 

ACP Pradyuman to die in CID?

This marks a significant moment in the show's history, as fans prepare to bid farewell to the character who has been a cornerstone of CID for years. In an upcoming episode, Barbosa, portrayed by Tigmanshu Dhulia, will mastermind a deadly bomb attack targeting the CID team. While the rest of the team narrowly escapes, ACP Pradyuman tragically lose his life in the blast.

"The team recently shot the episode, which will go on air in a few days. As of now, not many details have been shared as the makers want this to be a big shocker for fans," India Today reported citing a source.

CID made a highly anticipated return to TV screens after a six-year hiatus. When the show made its comeback, Shivaji Satam shared his thoughts, saying, "In this edition of the show, the Daya-Abhijeet bond, once unbreakable, has snapped and the two are standing opposite each other. The very foundation of CID is shaken, and ACP Pradyuman's world will be turned upside down. It feels surreal to return as ACP Pradyuman after six years, a character that has received so much love, and we promise a thrilling ride filled with suspense and heart-stopping drama."

The second season of the popular crime thriller ‘CID’ is now available for streaming on Netflix. Viewers can catch the first 18 episodes of season 2, which premiered on February 21, with new episodes releasing every Saturday and Sunday at 10 PM starting February 22. ‘CID’ continues to air on television on Sony Entertainment and is also streaming on Sony LIV.
