Salman Khan is all set to return as the host of Bigg Boss Season 18. The actor recently filmed a promo for the upcoming season of the popular reality show. According to a report by India Today, the new season may feature a "past, present, and future" theme, potentially involving elements related to former contestants.
Bigg Boss 18 Theme
The report states, "The theme of Bigg Boss 18 will center around the past, present, and future. Salman had a great time filming with the team. In the promo, expected to go live by the end of the month, fans will see him discussing these timelines. This theme will also be reflected in the design of the house and changes to the show’s format."
There has been speculation about previous contestants making a return, but as per the report, no such plans are confirmed yet, as casting for Bigg Boss 18 is still in progress.
The previous season, Bigg Boss 17, featured the theme 'Dil, Dimaag, and Dum', which categorized contestants into specific groups.
Salman Khan as Bigg Boss Host
Salman has been the host of Bigg Boss since its fourth season, taking over from former hosts Arshad Warsi, Shilpa Shetty, and Amitabh Bachchan, who hosted the first three seasons. He also replaced Karan Johar in Bigg Boss OTT Season 2. However, due to other commitments, Salman was replaced by Anil Kapoor for Bigg Boss OTT Season 3. Bigg Boss is based on the Dutch reality show Big Brother, developed by Endemol in the Netherlands, and has aired seventeen seasons and three spin-offs in India.
Salman Khan's Work Front
Salman, who made his acting debut with Maine Pyar Kiya, has since starred in hit films like Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Dabangg, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, and Bharat. He was last seen in Tiger 3, directed by Maneesh Sharma and produced by Aditya Chopra, as part of YRF's spy universe, alongside Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi.
Next, Salman will appear in Sikandar, an action-thriller directed by AR Murugadoss and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, featuring Rashmika Mandanna, Sathyaraj, and others in key roles.
